HOW CAN YOU HELP HABITAT FOR HUMANITY?
There are many ways in which we can all help Pensacola Habitat for Humanity (HFH) provide affordable housing to those in need:
Work - Help work on the home sponsored by St. Ann and Our Lady. Currently, we have just completed our 11th home and groundbreaking is set for 8 a.m. on February 9, 2008 on our 12th home. Stay tuned for more information through this website, the St. Ann Spirit (weekly Sunday bulletin at Masses), and the Bridge, our newsletter mailed to registered parishioners and extra copies available on campus.
Shop - Pensacola HFH recently opened the Habitat Home Store at 5810 N. Palafox St. in Pensacola. The store is located 1/4 mile north of Brent Lane on Old Palafox Street. The Habitat Home Store is open to the general public 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and features building materials, gently-used furniture, appliances and home décor. The store also accepts donations of building materials, furniture, etc at the store, or pickup service is available.
Volunteer - Volunteers are welcome to help at the Home Store by calling 476-0001. Habitat also needs construction site workers on weekdays. No experience needed - just show up by 7:30 a.m. at the HFH office at 1060 N. Guillemard St. in Pensacola. For more info, call 434-5456.
Donate - There are many ways to donate to HFH. Donate items to the Habitat Home Store or provide monetary and in-kind donations through our parish. All donations are tax deductible. Habitat will gladly accept your used printer cartridges for recycling –just drop them off at the Parish Office.
