Diocese of Pensacola Tallahassee Medal of Honor for Lifetime Achievement awarded to St Theresa parishioner, Mrs Agnes M. Sovis, on 13 December 2009.  Mrs Sovis is pictured outside historic Mission San Luis with her niece, Miss Diane Currey.



Mrs Sovis is pictured with her son, Frank Zinke, along with her award certificate.  Mrs Sovis has been a member of St Theresa Parish in Sunny Hills, Florida for 34 years, and was extremely surprised to have been nominated for this honor.  The Medal of Honor for Lifetime Achievement has not been awarded in the Diocese since 1985 and it was decided that this year:  the 25th Anniversary of the creation of the Diocese as well as the 450th Year of the Catholic Presence in Florida, it would be awarded to deserving individuals again.
